GOD DID NOT REJECT ISRAEL
Romans 11:1-5 "I ask, then, has God rejected His own people, the nation of Israel? Of course not! I myself am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham and a member of the tribe of Benjamin."
"No, God has not rejected His own people, whom He chose from the very beginning. Do you realize what the Scriptures say about this? Elijah the prophet complained to God about the people of Israel and said, "Lord, they have killed Your prophets and torn down Your altars. I am the only one left, and now they are trying to kill me, too."
"And don’t you remember God’s reply? He said, "No, I have 7000 others who have never bowed down to Baal!"
"It is the same today, for a few of the people of Israel have remained faithful because of God’s grace – His undeserved kindness in choosing them."
Even though, the Jews rejected Christ as their Messiah, and then persecuted His saints unto death, God did not reject them! Not in the least! They may have incurred His wrath upon them, but they were still His own. They had lost their place in the world, but they were still the Apple of His Eye. This nation who was once mighty before the kings of the earth who was now the scorn of the earth was still God’s chosen. He never rejected them. Man may have rejected the Jews, but God never did. They may even have lost their place in standing with God in the Court of the Lord of all the earth, but they were never rejected by Him.
