THE SEVENTIETH WEEK

Daniel 9:26-27 "After those 62 weeks, the Messiah will be cut off and will have nothing. The people of the coming prince will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come with a flood, and until the end there will be war; desolations are decreed. He will make a firm covenant with many for one week, but in the middle of the week, he will put a stop to sacrifice and offering. And the abomination of desolation will be on a wing of the temple until the decreed destruction is poured out on the desolator."

UNLOCKING THE CIPHER
Prophetic Keys that can apply that are found in Daniel and Ezekiel:

Prince or Ruler = Spiritual Principality – in this case a demonic principality

Week = seven days or seven years

Day = One year

Year = 360 years or 365.25 years

Middle of the Week = 3 ½ days

I am going to turn the day equals a year rule into math to make what I am going to share a little more understandable. If one day equals one year, then in math terms it would be "1" equals "360". So, one day equals 360 days. But, we are not talking about prophetic days in this math equation. We are talking about prophetic years, which is a much larger number. If one day equals 360 days, then one year would equal 360 years, because each day in that year would equal 360 days. Here is a conversion chart that will make it really understandable.

LUNAR

Day = One Lunar Year of days (1 day = 360 days or 1 year)

Year = One Lunar Year of Years (1 year = 360 years or 1 year of years)

Seven Lunar Years = Seven Years of Years (7 years = 7 groups of 360 years)

One Prophetic Week of Lunar Years = 2,520 Years

3 ½ "Days" = 1,260 Years or 42 months

SOLAR

Day = One Solar Year of days (1 day = 365.25 days or 1 year)

Year = One Solar Year of Years (1 year = 365.25 years or 1 year of years)

Seven Solar Years = Seven Years of Years (7 years = 7 groups of 365,25 years)

One Prophetic Week of Solar Years = 2,557 Years

3 ½ "Days" = 1,278 ½ Years or 42 months

If the week is seven prophetic years, that would be 7 groups of 360 years, which is 2,520 years or 7 groups of 365.25 years, which is 2,557 years. In order to apply both, you would need two prophecies given concerning the exile and return of Israel. In the beginning part of the week you would need a covenant enforced that would ensure the peace and safety of the Jews. In the middle of the week, you would need the ending of sacrifices and offerings and then after that, both sets of seven would have to land on the time of the construction or setting up of the Abomination of Desolation. The end of the week would have to land on the complete return of the homeland of Israel including Jerusalem.

A QUICK RECAP OF THE BEAST KINGDOMS

In one of my other posts I discuss the Beast in detail where we discover that the Beast is physical Body of Satan at work in the world just like the Church is the Physical Body of Christ at work in the world. Satan only has power if he has a physical body to work through. This physical body is the Kingdom of Darkness manifest through different bodies of people. In Revelation 17, the Beast has seven heads, which are kingdoms. To make a long story short, these seven Kingdoms throughout time were Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Media and Persia (which are one beast according to Daniel 8), Greece, The Roman Empire, the Islamic Kingdom, and Persia resurrected as Iran, the eighth beast kingdom. So, when you say Ruler, you are saying the Beast, which has been in the world for thousands of years.

FIRST, DANIEL’S PROPHETIC WEEK

Let us apply the 2,520 years to this very prophecy in Daniel and see where it takes us. This prophecy was given in the year 553 BC. Add 2,520 years to 553 BC and it brings you to the year 1967, which is the year that Israel regained Jerusalem, which completed their return from Exile.

THE ENFORCED COVENANT

Now, there needs to be a covenant enforced by a ruler at the beginning of this week that would ensure the safety and peace of the Jews. Who was the Beast Ruler when Daniel gave this prophecy? It was the first year of rule for King Darius the Mede when Daniel received the prophecy. Did King Darius ever enforce a covenant that ensured the peace and safety of the Jews? Why, yes he did! Right after God delivered Daniel from the Den of Lions, King Darius sent this message to every people, nation and language throughout the earth: "May your prosperity abound. I issue a decree that in all my royal dominion, people must tremble in fear before the God of Daniel: For He is the living God, and He endures forever; His Kingdom will never be destroyed, and His dominion has no end. He rescues and delivers; He performs signs and wonders in the heavens and on the earth, for He has rescued Daniel from the power of the lions."

THE DESTRUCTION OF JERUSALEM

Next, we need to find where the Beast Ruler destroys the city and the sanctuary. This happens in 70 AD when Titus, the soon to be Emperor of Rome, ransacked Jerusalem and destroyed the Temple. Because of this act, the sacrifice and offerings had ceased.

THE ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION

Next, we need to find an abomination that causes desolation being constructed by the Beast Ruler and set up right in the middle of the week. We find two abominations that happen halfway into 2,520 years which is 1,260 years from 553 BC in the year of 707 AD. This is the time that the Beast Kingdom of Islam, after ransacking Jerusalem, began building the al-Aqsa Mosque on the outskirts of the Gentile Court of the Temple Mount which would be "on a wing of the Temple".

Everything fits with this Lunar Week of Exile of 2,520 years or 7 groups of 360 years. Now, we need to find where the Solar Week of 2,557 years fits in with this. If you go from 1967, when Jerusalem was restored, backwards 2,557 years, it takes you to the year 590 BC. Was there an Exile Prophecy given in that year? You bet there was!

EZEKIEL’S WEEK OF EXILE PROPHECY

Ezekiel received his Prophetic Vision of the Valley of Dry Bones in the year 590 BC. The Valley of Dry Bones is one of the best pictures of the Exile and Return of Israel. The enforced covenant of peace, the destruction of the city and sanctuary and the stop of the sacrifices and offerings still fit with this. But, what about the Abomination of Desolation fitting in the middle of the Solar Week? Halfway into the 2,557 years is 1,278 ½ or 1,279 years. This brings us to the year 688 AD. Since al-Aqsa Mosque construction began around 707 AD, we can’t use that. What else was built upon the Temple Mount in 688 AD? The Dome of the Rock began construction in that year! Wow! Two Abominations of Desolation belonging to the same Beast Kingdom in the same time period!

There is something else that applies here. Both Ezekiel and Daniel are known as the Two Exile Prophets! So, the two Exile Prophets each gave an exile prophecy that fit perfectly within two distinct Prophetic Weeks in the same time period that ended in the same year! Out of the mouth of two witnesses, or should I say, two prophets!

WHAT SHOULD WE DO NOW?

Since the 70th Week has passed, what does that mean for the End Times? It means that the time frame of the last beast, considering the time frames of the other Beast Kingdoms, could last anywhere from one year to one thousand years! All of the other Beast Kingdoms hung around and persecuted the saints for a very, very long time, especially the Seventh, which was Islam. Since the 8th is Persia Reborn as Iran, the Islamic False Prophet, we can be sure that this will be the worst of them.

The faint of heart will not survive this coming time, but this will not be the darkest hour of the church. It will be the time when people will step out in faith unwavering. It will be the time of the Greatest Move of God this world has ever known. Even though great persecution is coming upon us, a greater outpouring is riding on the wave behind it. Even though I would rather not go through this at all, I am still waiting in excited anticipation for the manifestation of the sons of God in this time that is coming.
